Intel Innovation in Education - The Intel website contains information for all learning disciplines. It is a virtual warehouse of information - lesson plans, resource guides, activities, professional development are all a part of this fantastic resource for Educators. Be sure to check out the Learning with Technology area.

The High Plains Regional Technology in Education Consortium (HPR*TEC) - This is perhaps the best site on the Internet for educators to find information and classroom resources. The TrackStar and the RubiStar can be used on a daily basis in any classroom. QuizStar, Assign-a-Day, and CasaNotes bring high acclaim from the teachers using these invaluable resources. These activities are monitored and safe. They also require registration but are free to educators.

Kathy Schrock Guide for Educators - This guide is the first place to go for Internet activities and ideas in the classroom. The Schrock guide has been around for years and really is a tremendous resource for the teacher first using technology in the classroom. Kathy provides an updated site that highlights the best the Internet has to offer education.

The WebQuest Page - WebQuests are the consummate Internet activities for the classroom. "
A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web. WebQuests are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. The model was developed in early 1995 at San Diego State University by Bernie Dodge with Tom March , and was outlined then in Some Thoughts About WebQuests ."

Blogger - This is one of many online journal systems. Online journals are a great way for teachers to communicate with students. The journal can provide students with a place to write their thoughts and daily activities. Used in conjunction with character building this can be a great asset by integrating the language arts into every classroom.

This site provides some of the best links to Internet websites, detailed information about the sites is also provided.
