Bachelor of Science in:

Early Childhood Education

Early childhood education offers opportunities for challenging and diverse career paths for professionals seeking to make positive differences in the lives of young children and their families.

Traditional careers in early childhood lead to teaching where degree recipients design group programs that support and promote children's intellectual, social, emotional, linguistic, and physical development and learning. Early childhood professionals make complex professional decisions regarding developmentally appropriate practices and family relations.

Elementary Education

Elementary education offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for men and women who wish to touch the future by enabling young people to reach their potential.

Today's elementary teacher established an educational environment which allows children to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically in order that they will be able to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century with competence and confidence.

Degree and Certification

Students majoring in elementary education received a Bachelor of Science degree and are eligible to apply for an Oklahoma Teaching License. Upon successful residency year, they are eligible to apply for a Standard Elementary Certificate for Grades 1-8.
