Master of Education in Secondary Education
Program Overview-Building On A Solid Foundations Toward A Future Of Excellence
The Master of Education in Secondary Education degree program is designed for professional educators who seek a broader cultural and professional development than is possible to achieve on the undergraduate level.
Each student has an opportunity to study a specific curricular area and to explore the American educational system. Each individual is guided in the development of a plan of study designed to help in the pursuit of his/her unique professional aspirations, plans, and career goals.
Each student will be given the opportunity to experience an action approach to educational research through the development and exploration of a problem of his/her choice. Previous students have had their work lead to presentations at professional meetings and/or publications.

Admission to University of Central Oklahoma

Admission to Graduate College
One of the following:
- GPA of 3.00 on all undergraduate work
- GPA 3.25 on last 60 hours
- GRE score of 900 or better
Program Admission
Submit the following information to the office of Master of Education in Secondary Education, Chambers Library, room 315:
- Submit completed Application for Admission to Program
- Formal letter of intent to pursue an M. Ed. in Secondary Education and
how the degree will meet your professional goals
- Copy of official transcript(s)
- Copy of teaching certificate
